Is UW cheaper than just fixing my energy elsewhere?
It depends on your energy use and whether you need the other services. In August 2026, MoneySavingExpert found UW's fixes undercut other energy fixes, but warned that its broadband and mobile can cost more than the cheapest alternatives. High energy users usually gain the most.
Evidence
Ofgem said fixed deals were available at £100 or more below the October 2026 price cap. MoneySavingExpert recommends comparing unit rates rather than annual estimates, and getting a personal quote. If UW isn't the better deal for you, I'll tell you.
